A neighbor’s dog has a weekly ritual of taking a leak on my front wheel, when de-peeing the rim I got to thinking how the tyres would look with white lettering? Found a white marker pen and began…here’s the result of one side..However not sure about the look? What do you reckon?? Yes I know-too much time on my hands.

There is some spray at the bigger pet stores to put off dogs from peeing in certain areas, worth a try. Sometimes pepper works. The white lettering adds some nice bling! Make sure the paint is cured/dry before you take a ride! (Message edited by Usanigel on March 08, 2011) |

Did this a couple of years ago. It won't last long and then it starts to look like poo when it cracks and falls off. BUT... if you have the maintenance time, I'd stick with it! |

Is the dog named "Harley"? |

It looks well done. However, I'm a black-wall kind of guy so I would not do that to my tires--cars or biks. |

I tried the white letter thing a few years back, I didn't like the way it looked either. |

Same result here. Did it about 10 years ago on my X1, would look good for a few days (I did yellow) and then would change color and crack and need re-painted....became kind of a PITA. |

The dog in question is called Pyhsc and he’s a Pug, but do have a friend with a sausage dog called Harley as his wife would’nt let him have a bike, till eventually he came home with one anyway.. Going back to the tyres, these are the originals that were on when I bought the bike after it had about 2500miles on it, think the old owner was inclined to do burnouts as the rear has a nice flat spot in the middle and the front has very slight cracking on the sidewalls, so thought now was a good time to do the white thing before replacing them.. must admit I quite like the look, however as said the upkeep might be a pain. A few years ago I used tyre chalk on a track day car and it looked great, the tyres were only good for a few weekends so did’nt really notice the white going off. I like the look of these bikes so got the idea from them…

Nice S1. That one actually has the writing on the rim, looks good. I want to say auto parts stores have actual "white letter tire" pens for just this purpose. Not sure how much longer they last...but its worth a shot? |

Best way to get an owner to control their dog for bad habits, like peeing on your motorcycle tires, is to do the same to their beloved vehicles.. First time you walk out and piss all over his car tires i bet he will stop that little shat from doing the same to your property.... and yes i would go as far as to crap in a neighbors yard if their dog did the same to my yard... Buddy of mine parked his bike outside a best buy, when he came back to the bike, there was a father and son on his motorcycle pretending to ride...He said nothing, followed them to their car and then progressed to sit on the hood of their car (pretending to drive). Father said nothing and drove away head down... He was alot cooler than me, i probably would have lost it. Sorry for the thread jack, YES the white lettering looks pretty cool...They have special tire paint to actually do this... It doesn;t wear off nearly as fast and you can get different colors... |

Guess crapping in their yard is better than crapping on their car |

BUELLRAIN - I like your look a lot man. IMHO what makes it sharp is the white lettering being in combination with the red rim line. I would not try in on my '08 - plain black walls seem better for that. |
