Alright, I have always done all my own wrenching but I have never really spent a lot of time doing suspension set up. I am away from home for an extended period and have realized the roads here will be a lot more manageable with a little less compression damping. The problem is that I don't have either my owners manual or my service manual with me (had to pack everything I needed on the bike) and I cannot remember which adjusters on the forks do what. I believe that the small center screw is compression damping while the outer nut is preload and the adjuster screw on the bottom is rebound damping. Correct? Unfortunately, the links to the owners manuals above don't work any more. |

Thanks. I would have been screwing with the rebound and trying to figure out why the damn thing was acting weird. |

And it's the opposite at the rear shock-upper is compression, lower rebound. |
