I think I realize why everyones getting a little testy with each other. Everyone has way too much time to sit on their computers. Riding season is near so go polish your bike and get your new tires on or something. Badweb is turning into a nasty place. Sometimes I fear posting a question for fear of people just being rude. This forum has great potential to be the best resource we Buell riders have. We have no manufacturer support anymore so we need to get over ourselves and help each other out. I have read through multiple threads recently and a bunch of threads have gone completely way off topic with one on one battles. Everybody is an engineer or really tough behind a computer screen, but would you act that way in person? I hope not, if Buellers really are the people that show up in these threads then we need to kick our own a$$es. This is a motorcycle forum, not a pissing contest. Hopefully its just the weather and as soon as we can spend more time on our bikes than on the computer we will all be nicer to each other. |

It seems like this happens every year, but this being what at least seems like one of the coldest, hardest, longest winters in recent history, the flaming thread phenomena is worse than usual. +1 to Scottorious' post. |

This place is, point blank the best place for info on Buells. We're all in the same boat, so stop fooking rocking it. Buellicious |

Go ride anyway. I just did a couple hours on my S2. Wind speeds (45mph) are higher than the temp reading (39 degrees)...but still felt DAMN good to get out and ride!! |

Last "weekend", I'm off Tue-Wed, the high temps were 8, then 14. We are currently forecast to be in the 60s thru Thursday!!!!! When my wife heard that this morning, she said "guess I won't be seeing you then..." Maybe I'll coax her onto the Uly... Z |

It was low 40s yesterday but with wind gusts up to 45 knots. I caged up to my "local" Harley dealer. It sure is great to see that Buell sign out front when I ride up! Rode last weekend. Got lots of road chemicals all over me and the bikes. Had a guy in a brand new red Ferrari give me a thumbs up and tell me what a great bike my X-1 was. Was a nice day. Supposed to be less windy today, so we'll see what happens. You all be safe out there! |

Just checked my weather page, 20 mph, gusting to 40 mph, but it's 40 degrees at 8 am !!! Rode the Uly yesterday, couple of bad spots in the neighborhood required duck-walking, highway was clear. Parked on ice/snow at the shop, it was all gone by time to go home. Wife says I get real bitchy when I can't ride for a while...really? Loretta gets out today! Think I'll take the long way home this afternoon. Z |

Finally got a break in our cold weather here in MN. Went out and got license tabs for both bikes and had the battery charger on the Uly yesterday. Also broke down and bled out the weeping clutch on the 1125R. Today got the charger on the 1125R and when the outside temp hits the magic 35 degrees fahrenheit I'll fire both bikes up. |

Just got back from a short ride on the 1125R. It had not seen the road in 3 months. |

I have about 4 feet of snow in the yard right now. It is supposed to get above freezing this week, but there is enough sand and salt on the roads to make a beach. Gotta wait a little longer. |
