I just got a 2010 motor in my 1125, the bike is an 09, and I had the clutch fix done on the 09, just wondering if I will have to have it done on the 2010 also. |

The 2010 models have a different clutch leak - they leak internally, no telltale dribble from the weep hole in the clutch cover. You will first notice the problem when you pull in the clutch and the lever goes straight to the handlebar - there will be no fluid in the reservoir. This usually happens when the bike has been standing. |

Wow that sucks! How common is this internal leak with the 2010 engines? |

So the problem is still present but they changed it so you can't tell till it's too late? |

Of the 6 2010 CRs that I know of in the UK, 4 have suffered the same clutch problem. ( And 1 doesn't get ridden !). |

2008 1125R After reading many posts and seeing how the reservoir was filled/overfilled when I checked it.... I decided to reduce the level to the lowest safe mark. Since then I am at 11000 miles and no leaks or fluid loss. Something for people to check maybe. |

Mine went at 4500klms, fine one day resevoir empty the next, all internally drained while sitting it seems. I was disapointed it wasn't fixed in the 2010's. So far so good after warranty repairs. |

They discovered my clutch weep on my last service call. Parts ordered under warranty, and they came in yesterday. Supposed to be a 45 minute operation. What "parts" are ordered? |

From the sound of it, it probably is a different issue. Before this thread I've only heard of it happening on one bike, and given the low production of 2010s it will be interesting to see what the issue is and how common it was. |
