Just wondering, do they even make side fairings for a CR, thanks? |

The Ilmberger fairings should fit a CR, they fit under the pods and there is a matching bellypan that goes with it: http://www.ilmberger-carbon.de/DSC07160.jpg (Message edited by Jules on January 10, 2011) |

Some posted an stunning example of a CR with some brand of side fairings on a little while ago.. Perhaps someone can find it. It was probably the best looking 1125 I've seen to date |

I have the Ilmberger fairing on mine. They cost a bit but I am happy with the result.

Thanks Jrfitzny. I have fender eliminator now and next up I have to do something with the mirrors...then maybe some levers...and an exhaust (pity DAdams is not in Australia). |

Just out of curiosity, of those of you that like the idea of more fairing rather than less, what is your age? I'm just wondering if it's younger guys that like the "more bodywork" look. As an old guy I like my women and motorcycles naked as possible. |

33, that is like an toddler's age compared to me. You mentioned your mirrors, that was the first thing I got rid of, glad I did. They didn't work that well anyway and I went with the CRG bar end mirrors with MW sliders on the tips. Bike looks even more sinister now and fits the Streetfighter image better. I like your fairings too, has nice ventilation vents which I think these bikes really need. |

I have to say if I'd seen a CR that looked that good when I was buying the Buell I'd probably have bought the CR instead of the R. As it was I'd only seen a stock R and an R with the optional fairing and opted for the R with the optional fairing lowers. Ozzysx that looks fantastic. |

45 and I like full fairings. Little confused on full side fairings and next to nothing up topside with the CR though Looks sharp, especially since I like fairings anyway, and those are very nice (Message edited by sprintst on January 14, 2011) |

65, and I want to see the engine, ugly as it is. Just don't get the closed up look. Yes, I'm old school. |

I'd say 80% of the guys on the biggest American streetfighter forum, customfighters.com, are under the age of 35. And over there if you have plastic on your bike, you're doing it wrong. Age has nothing to do with wanting full fairings or a naked. |

I even stripped the main body work off of my V-Strom and managed to make an UGLY bike even UGLIER and love it. Took off about 25 pounds that was high and out front. |

If money (and the need for skillful assembly) were not issues, that speed-of-color bike would be my ultimate Buell.... Unless you class the Typhon as a Buell. (Message edited by Ozzysx on January 15, 2011) |

Thats the one I posted about earlier in the thread. For me it captures the essence of the 1125CR and amplifies it. |

it hurts me inside to say i like that exhaust... because it hangs out the side... but the view from the right rear of it looks great! mostly because of the different size tips tough, just looks mean. |
