And only three-and-a-half times as much $$ as the already lightweight stock covers! Maybe I'm just too old fartly, but the c-f hard-on just doesn't happen for me unless it's a truly functional advantage. Sorta like what chrome does for the H-D chromosexuals I guess. Carbofibosexuals? |

Come-on ...while I fully agree with you...Duphuckincati....face it, the biggest portion of bolton's people buy, do nothing, and sometimes even add weight or lessen aerodynamics...or heaven forbid, actually lower horsepower...! Or in some cases...increase the possibility early worn cylinder walls and rings..! Mike |

Right up there with the carbon fiber buckle guards stuck onto the tanks. I get surplus carbon fiber for FREE and still build my race stuff out of fiberglass. |

Natty, I did see those a few weeks ago. The picture looks nice. And I'm one of those who likes the look of carbon but has little need for the apparent weight reduction. About a year ago, I bought a CF airbox cover from them. You've seen it --- it's the one that has the 2 scoops on the top about where the Buell decals go (they still sell it, along with about 3 or 4 other vendors). It also looked real nice --- except it arrived with a couple scuffs, it had several pinholes in the finish, and there was at least one apparent defect in the carbon fabric itself. It's still sitting in my garage, waiting for the day I start doing track days. I choke when I see the prices of the "genuine" carbon pieces, such as those at American Sport Bike. But if I was going to buy carbon again, that's where I'd go. |
