has any one fitted a alth wavy disc on try to fit mine today the spacers that fit in between the gaps on the disc are to tight is this common is it just a simple file down and also fitting a 6 pot instead of 8pot front caliper just for weight saving ,just want to no if the master cylinder is ok for this is it the same as the 6 pots on the older xb thanks | ||

Master cylinders are different. Not sure what you mean about the spacers, but I know the blocks that go in the notches on the disc and the screw goes through them...only fit one way, rounded corners pointed towards the axle. You're using new rotor mounting bolts, right? | ||

yes the blocks that fit through the notches on the disc .i am fitting them the right way but they are too big for the notches very tight fit .do i need to file the spacers down to fit the notches thanks this is on the alth wavy disc they never came with any fixings using stock ones | ||

lbq, i cant comment on the wave rotor, but when i installed the 5 mil ebr race rotor and hardware kit the fit was just right. im no brake expert but i dont know if you'll be able to get the accuracy with a file to keep the concentric floating rotor action in check. in other words i think they would all have to be the exact same size to prevent one block from binding while the rest float good luck | ||

Think I remember the XB spacers being slightly different ! Only something I read, but worth a mention as the wheels and discs should be the same | ||

Hey LBQ - the 1125 master cylinder works great with the XB 6 piston caliper. I ran an 1125 master on my old XB9 and it really helped the power and feel (I seem to recall it's only 1mm bigger bore on the 1125 master vs the XB). | ||

Littlebutquick I came across the same issue with my Alth Rotor. Went through it with the mechanic and rather than modify the bushings he's fitted it with the drive bushings sideways like this.  You need the long edge on the drive side. It's a nice rotor. | ||

You need to use the stock rotor mounting kit with it. The EB Racing kit isn't designed for a rotor this thick. It will bolt on but the clamp is all the the pressure washers and they could fail and cause bolts to shear. | ||
