Everything but the headlight and muffler looks really good. Especially the tail |

Now that is one bad ass CR! If they looked like that, I would have bought one to go with the R. |

I'm hating Harley even MORE this morning. I didn't think that would be possible. |

WHAT is that thing where an exhaust should be? It looks like a wedged slab of a sidecar! That is the biggest exhaust I've ever seen on a Buell. It'd look better if it was MUCH smaller. It looks out of proportion for the bike. |

...anyone notice the bottom right corner? Doesn't look like a Buell design. Looks like a design studio's take on a bike. Concept bike. Neat...but I don't think it's anywhere close to "what could have been". Just a design exercise; probably some student's thesis. |

Read the article linked up at the top by the OP. The important passage from that article is:
quote:what has us chomping at the bit is the fact that in 2009 Spanish design firm Edda Design was commissioned by Buell to revamp the 1125CR street bike

In my opinion, what made the Buell 1125[C]R design appealing was the organic lines with curved surfaces rather than the hard/sharp lines so prevalent in typical sportbike designs. The concept art above makes it look more like any other Honyamakawazuki out there. One of my coworkers commented that I am very counter-culture from my use of Linux on my computers, Android on my phone, and that I ride a Buell motorcycle. I took it as a compliment. |

looks kinda like it could run ram air ports from the pods over the frame. i agree i like the curvy body of the cr but i like the tail and the pod to airbox idea |

Correct, it was JaimeC who posted it, but I found his message on the Yahoo Buell board with a Facebook link. Didn't know he had placed it here already! Anyways, she's looking mighty fine. |

Certainly looks better without that big FUGLY muffler briefly shown in the teaser video... |

There's no way that's street legal. That's the race exhaust. MCN is notorious for creating fake photochops of bikes as publishing it as "news" |

Like I mentioned in the other thread, it is a photoshop, and I posted the image they started with. Plus, Erik already said it won't look like that. Some things should just die! |

I sure hope the final product doesn't have that big, double-barreled cannon on the right side of the bike, that's all I'm saying. |

> Trust me, I got a feeling you will want that exhaust I have my race bike up at the Erik Buell Racing shop getting built for next year, and part of the build is the race exhaust kit. I'm told it will be 104db at full chat. That's just stupid loud, and the 1190 would only be louder, bigger bang and all. |

Pretty obvious to me the 1125 series use of "ancient" tail section and airbox had a lot to do with saving shekels. The "styling" is rather schizophrenic. The Barracuda tail section looks great. |

Exhaust in the swing arm? Well, that is one way to get the oil up to temp as quick as possible. |

there is no oil in the swingarm in the 1125 |

Can you say metal fatigue? I'm sure there's a solution buried in there. Be interesting to know what it was. |
