I found a set of used Bar End Mirrors in the classifieds and hoped I could make them work with my R. They were shipped this past Saturday and to my surprise and happiness they were at my door today!! They ended up installing easily with some minor modifications to the inside bracket and some grinding where the clutch lever was hitting the mirror body. With the loss of the factory mirrors I also lost my front turn signals which led me to integrate the front running lights as the turn signals. I cut the weather tight ends from the factory signals and soldered them to the running lights for a good solid connection that can still be un-plugged if needed. I still need to pick up some orange light bulbs and get some bolts for the holes from the factory mirrors but overall I am very happy! Sorry I don't know what brand these mirrors are. Enough talk....pics!!!

Nice, have been trying to decide if I want bar end mirrors. How is the quality looking at them around town and freeway speeds. I'm not a fan of the fuzzy OEM mirrors.

I've got bar end mirrors on all my Buells and the Ducati. I've replaced the mounting bolt with an industrial Rawlbolt on them all. It makes them much more secure.

Do those mirrors really magnify what's behind you?
I picked up a pair that looked just about identical to what you've got there. Put on the one side, sat on the bike, had a look and immediately took it off and returned them to the store I bought them at. The magnification was extreme and distorted. Hope you don't have the same ones!

Picked up a pair of Rizoma knockoffs, and I'm really happy with them.

Later!

There really is no additional magnification from these mirrors. The smaller circle mirrors just allow me a larger are of view in my blind spots. I am used to not using my mirrors as in my opinion it is safer to physically look at what is around me before I change lanes, turn...etc. I went for a brief ride with these on last night and they seemed to work just like I hoped they would. My main objective was to be able to watch behind me while slowing down or stopped. They didn't appear to vibrate too much however it was dark out and the ground was wet so I didn't get a chance to really "ride" the bike.
