After the sale you get to pay a premium. Its about $1440 for 5 extra years. Pm me, for a contact for better pricing.

Does an extended warranty guarantee an extended parts availability?

Once your MY hits the 10 year mark, you are on you own! At least as far as factory parts go.

XBs and 1125s were classed the same as big twins for ESP. There is an MSRP for the extended service plan but some dealers do charge more. Call around to dealers in your area once you know what MSRP is and see if they will knock some off. They will still want to make money on it and even at cost, especially the 5 year, they aren't cheap. I went for it though when I bought mine, with tie and wheel because I don't want to be paying outta pocket on my toy and if I ever sell it, the warranty will help it sell

here are those retail prices for the warranty.
1 year $609 +$290 for tire and wheel
2 year $814 +$290 for tire and wheel
3 year $999 +$290 for tire and wheel
4 year $1204 +$365 for tire and wheel
5 year $1494 +$365 for tire and wheel

There would also be a $150 surcharge for being outside of 90 days from date of purchase or 2000+ miles on the bike.

At the very least, do not pay more that these amounts. You may be able to make a deal and get them below these prices.

What does tire and wheel cover, or maybe I should say is there a max number of times you could use it. What if I wore out a set (like the rear, normally) every 2K miles?

Rex here. You sent me a name and number to call on this a while back, but have misplaced it. Can you resend to me, via email?

I just turned over 2,000 miles on my CR and also are past the 90 days.

So, with the penalty, they still cover same as you bought it new? Thanks, REX

Tire and wheel coverage will replace tires and wheels that are damaged by road hazards, not tires from just wearing out. There is no limit to the number of claims that you can have. If your tire is below 3/32" tread depth the tire will also not be covered.

Yea...funny.

I just received a note from my dealer about buying the extended warranty for my CR before the standard warranty runs out.

NO where on the note does it have the word Buell....!

I'm not spending any more money on this thing like that.
In hearing all you guys and your dealer horror stories, I'll spend "only" what I need to and do the work myself.

Mike
