So I waited almost 3 months for my clutch repair parts to come in, Dealer picked up the bike last week so I called for an update today.... Kit was missing the O-ring that I've heard other people talk about! At least they've already installed the frame insulation kit (supposedly), anybody know what the wait time is on this O-ring now? They are also looking into the cluster drain, low fuel, check engine light issue but I don't have high hopes for that! |

My options are kinda limited... the dealer two hours away isn't any better! |

Is it just an o-ring? Tell them to haul their asses down to ACE and pick one up...WTF. |

Low fuel (LFL) & Check Engine Light (CEL) with code "b1005 LOWFUEL SYS ERR" is either the Instrument Cluster (IC) is too old and doesn't have the software fix or the thermistor on the fuel sending unit (pump) is out of spec. The parasitic draw from the IC is fixed by replacing it with a newer rev. It is possible that both issues will be resolved by doing so if you get one containing IC software version 6.1 or newer EDIT: and your thermistor is still within spec. If you still get the CEL & LFL on when you know you have plenty of gas (particularly if it happens when the ambient temperature is lower than about 50F), then the thermistor is most likely out of spec indicating the pump needs to be replaced. Have to replace the pump because it's an all-in-one unit. I know because I have experienced both issues. In my case, replacing the IC resolved the parasitic draw, but not the CEL & LFL. Replacement of the pump was required. Unfortunately, the first replacement that arrived was damaged, so we had to wait a while for the second replacement to come. If you need the pump replaced, have them open the box and inspect the replacement unit BEFORE they drain the fuel and disassemble your bike like they did mine. I was hoping for a new IC for the gear indicator, but I think from my build date (july 08) and what I've read it will be one of the other issues listed. |

FYI, I'm having the LFL & CEL issue AGAIN. At this point I don't give a shit since it doesn't cause any real problem and I'm out of warranty anyway. |
