So I was thinking, looking at the big black expanse of fairing on my bike (1125r with buell fairing), that it might be cool to have a decal. The ones that came with the fairing were creased so I never put them on. Like something from Erik Buell Racing, or a US type decal. But I really don't care for stickers. So I'm looking for ideas on a nice decal idea(s) that's not too much, or tacky or show-off, etc. I was thinking like a star decal like from the military, but I don't know. I'm all ears for ideas, if I don't like it, I can just peel it off. |

Here's what I did with mine. Not US oriented per se.

Thanks. It's just a vehicle media vinyl decal. It came out great though. I wanted to spice up the fairing but not with anything too ridiculous. So, that was a design my buddy came up for me. |

I got fairings on my 1125R but they were installed before i picked up my bike, so I guess my big question is what did the decal's look like that came with the fairing kit ? Does anyone have a picture of them as I never seen them on anyone's bike picture on this site that i can think of |

Not mine, and possibly more than you want to do, but I think it's really well done.

HD8803: I'm not sure they came with decals. I'm actually pretty sure they didn't. |

The fairing kits came with the same decals that were in the Book of Buell - two small (5" or so) Buell shield logos. That's it. They were not applied, they were loose in the box. |

Yea, they're not great, mine were creased in the box so I never considered putting them on. Those are some sweet looks. |

My shield recaps were installed by the dealer when I bought the bike... I figured theft just grabbed them out of a couple books. Jules- I like that small American Flag decal alot! |

Jules- I like that small American Flag decal alot! eBay LOL - I used the following as a search criteria: ("american flag", "stars and stripes") (decal, sticker, vinyl) Just looking again and there are some really cool ones if you wanted something alittle bigger.. |

Ahh, they never installed the shield logos on mine then. When I showed up to the dealer to get the bike it had the fairings already on it...for free! I like that American flag decal too!! I had some on my front fairing but took them off, just didn't look right with the POW/MIA decal I have up there. I need to get some back on the bike. So far all I have is a red "United States" next to my forum name. |

I'm pretty sure this is what I'd do to mine if I had the spare coin. I guess it's from working around aircraft stuff for a few years, to me, this is the coolest paint job I've seen yet. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=290431&post=1386998#POST1386998 |

I've always thought a Eagle theme combined with the US flag would look great...use the side pods as open eagle talons coming in for the kill, the Eagle's head/beak would be on the top of the fairing/headlight ...bend in the US flag with the stars on the tank and under the talons and the strips flowing off the back of the bike. I think the flag themed bike in this thread is very sharp |

My little indication that I'm riding an American Sportbike. Cut from a photo quality print and just siliconed on so I can easily change it if it gets weathered.

Here's what I've done so far. There's going to be some red, white and blue added but I haven't figured out it out yet.
