Do the Lightning or Uly pegs fit the 1125? I'm looking to drop the pegs about an inch. |

I have the the lightning pegs. They match the factory rear pegs perfectly and are 1" lower as well. |

+1 on the lightning pegs, made a world of difference for me, I'm 6'4". 5 mins with a dremmel and they fit like a glove. I believe Uly's fit with no modification, but I wanted to maintain the sportbike peg look & feel. Uly's are wider, which a lot of folks really prefer, just depends onwhat you like, but either way, a solid inch of leg room , which is a lot. |

Get the black Uly pegs. They cost more due to a machining step that sticks to your foot better. Z |

I'm a fan of the Knight pegs...I got the "medium" grip models..no foot slip or excessive boot ware.

I have the two inch drop pegs from Knights. Makes riding tolerable and I'm just 6'2". |

I first went with the Buell pegs that were 1 inch lower. I now have the 2 inch lower pegs by Knight. I love them. REX |

Do the Lightning pegs have rubber inserts like the 1125 and unlike the Uly? |

+1 on the Knights. My boots slipped on the Uly pegs. Too slick. |

Have you guys considered raising the seat instead of dropping the pegs? The stock peg position is really comfortable as far as sport bikes go, and you will start to run into cornering clearance problems pretty early if you lower them much. Raising the seat is roughly the same as lowering the pegs, and doesn't create the safety problem lowered pegs cause. |

Raising the seat also messes witht he ergonomics though, it'll move the centre of gravity up 'cause one of the heaviest bits on the bike (the rider) will be higher.. It'd also be harder to get into a tuck and increase the reach to the bars.. Admittedly it's only a small change but it'll have much more impact than just lowering the pegs.. |

My raised seat pushed me forward, easier to tuck in, and more leverage on the bars. Just my observation. |

> Raising the seat also messes witht he ergonomics though So does lowering the pegs. The bars are realistically too high on this bike stock, anyway. The raised seat helps promote a proper stuck, slacked arms, and getting your head out front of the bike. It's taken me a good bit of time to realize this problem with the bike, but after having put proper clip-ons on the bike and getting the body position head forward and properly tucked, I'm actually a bit shocked how much easier the bike is to ride. The stock upper triple with its high bars really isn't that ideal. All my opinion, of course... |

Ah - I stand corrected... I already feel like i am perched on the bike so don't think I fancty raising the seat any more.. but you've got me thinking now... |

The 1" drop actually made me feel like part of the bike, instead of riding above it. |

IMHO the 1' Drop added to the extra 3/4'' or so from the comfort seat (and high bars) is about a perfect street set-up for the CR...If I was a young gun doing track days I would have got an "R" model. I'm of the opinion that the clubmans where a compromise to style, not sound riding ergo's...hence the '10 models had the high bars |
