Was reading about Accel SELF-LEARNING MODULE. i have not found one for Buell. Dose anyone know anything about it? |

It seems to be another piggy back device with some range of adjustment for ignition timing and AFV.. It LOOKS as though it'd be OK for someone who just wants to throw a pipe on the bike and not worry about it running lean but it's not adjustable in any way so you would have to have faith in the little black box (and that's a big thing to ask). I'd still rather put my faith in Erik Buell Racing for that sort of thing. If you're planning on LOTS of incramental changes this MIGHT do the job, but unless you throw it on a Dyno to chheck you won't know... And there's a bit of a disclaimer that it might not show any improvement on a dyno as it will have "learnt" how you ride on the street which will be different to how a you'd run the bike on a dyno so it's all a bit vague.. Whatever you do don't mention the O2 sensor connection as it's likely to kick off the closed/open loop and wide/narrow band debate again It's probably OK for a Harley though...but then again so is a chrome pillion seat and runflat tires.. |
