On a CR with clubmans. Anybody using them? Just wondering how they function (and of course look ) I've seen pics on "high bars" and they seem awful wide. I live in LA and am constantly splitting traffic so just wondering how they stand on the clubmans and if their function is acceptable.. Wish I was a rich boy and could afford the Rizoma Tomok but that's a new exhaust... Thanks |

Thecowboyblack - I used the Triumph mirrors on my CR with clubmans and they were fantastic. Great looking, great clarity. Only issue was that they said TRIUMPH across them, which I minimized with a black Sharpie. Oh, you'll need a bar end to mount them to. I used these (after I'd ground the inside lip off so that the mirror base would slip on). http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/5571.html |

I have had Napoleon's on my bikes for years. The S1 has both mirrors down at 6 o'clock. For my CR the napoleons on clubmans at 6 o'clock hit the frame. I now ride with the left at 10 o'clock and the right at 2:00 o'clock. The 12 o'clock pictured above may not get around your shoulders. The 10-2 positions remove the view of my shoulders and restores my view of the road. :-) I too was concerned about lane splitting with the wider 10-2 setup. Most of the time I am going so slow that I have been stopped only once or twice. The first couple of times you may be more cautious but then you can just tell when it will work. |

Carbon - that is the exact setup I am running (on a clubman CR). They work great (no vibration, great visibility/clarity). I think they look good also, although anything is better than the enormous beetle antennae that are the stock mirrors/signals (that also do not work as mirrors). You will indeed need the new bar end sliders as well - Rizoma are excellent in quality and function. The whole setup is not cheap by any means, but you do get what you pay for. |
