Ok I know this sounds dumb. I have changed my oil several times and torque the bolts to spec. Also never had a issue before, but the left drain plug is stuck. Now I know many tricks to get it out, but have a big ride early tomorrow morning and don't have time to mess with it. Basically can I drain all the oil out with just the right plug if I lean the bike over? I sprayed some penetrating oil this morning, so maybe that will loosen it up. |

At my 640mi they put the left plug on with an air wrench and rounded the head quite nicely. I just walked over to parts ordered another and got over it. It wasn't gone, it looked like a 40K miles (40x) plug. The allen on the right is OK. Your situation is a little more difficult. If after all is done and the oil level is OK then you are as good as the old oil you had in it. |

smack it with a small ball peen hammer. That will usually break it loose. Just don't drive the hammer through the case. |

Yeah I will have a little time to play with it later. Danny, thats exactly what I didnt want to do. they bolt is so shallow I slipped the ratchet and nicked up my knuckle pretty good already. I just dont want to rush it and end up doing more damage. Hopefully the penetrating oil did the job and I will be able to get it loose later. If not I will just deal with it tomorrow. |
