a mate brought the Erik Buell Racing ecm for me to fit and he had a HD dealer fit his ohlins damper kit just before he came over .he said that the bracket on the clutch side fork hits the rear pod cover and they would have to cut it .this does not seem right to me i have a different kit on mine and that took some time to set it up so i told him i would ask the question on here

Mine fit with no mods, just as I thought it is supposed to if the the proper Ohlins damper kit is used.

takes some time to get it adjusted properly. no cutting required.

I put the bracket on the brake lever side so I can adjust it with my right hand on the bars.Used the hole closest to the fork and if it is put on correctly the flat spot will be paralell with the frame at full turn.Then play with the clamp that holds the damper to get it adjusted correctly.
