I've found a few threads on mounting a video camera, but none that were specific to the CR bars...

I was thinking of going with this RAM mount and mounting it to the bars on the left side, right next to the handlebar clamp:

Anyone have a better idea?? I know they also sell RAM mounts for the brake reservoir covers, but I don't want it mounted THAT high. I do have the stock mirror holes available, but again- TOO HIGH (I think?)

Also- I already have the Ultra HD one, but was thinking of getting the smaller Mino HD one just for the bike. Maybe even get it personalized?? : )

There's to much vibration to mount it to the bars. A suction cup mount on the side of the pod works better, but there's still vibration at WOT.

You can try a Ram 11mm ball at the mirror mount with a 1/4-20 mount for the cam (I have bar ends, so this is easy).

I would suggest using a Gopro camera unless you plan on editing out all that horrible wind noise and replacing it with the horrible music I hear on youtube bike videos.

I tried flip cams and endedup with the Gopro HD....much better with a bunch of mounts. Also compatible with RAM as long as you have the 1/4-20 camera adapter.

I just got a knock off atc3k action cam from ebay with a 4 gig card for 75 bucks. I got it mounted on the lower front fender. I think it takes good vids.I used to have a cell phone to take vids as i rode around. The cell phone was not my best idea since I needed 1 hand to hold and record.

Actually I'm just playing with this now myself. I have a ContourHD I use on a goggle strap for skiing and on the motard track days. I got a universal mount in the mail just yesterday and thought this weekend I'd play with setups on the sport bikes, vs just a sticky mount on the helmet. I'd like to get it on the bike too. I have a small suction cup dual ball joint setup to use on a windshield in the car, I'm sure it'll work in some ways on the bikes. I'll update on what I play with.

Oh and I have a handle bar clamp too, dual ball joint thingy switches between suction cup base & handlebar U clamp. So I'll let you know how it does on the 1125. On the motard it looks like riding during an earthquake due to the big single thumping between my legs, well, that and the engine vibe too.

Thanks for the tip on the "GoPro". That's the shizzle, it seems.

...are you reading this thread, Santa™?!?

I think I'm still gonna get that RAM mount and play around with my Flip Video camera (which I already have anyway) and see how bad it it. I'm sure I can use the mount for something else in the future...such as a mount for my next phone (either Droid X or iphone4 most likely)...?
