I have some high performance, cast 3M Matte black (180-c) coming in next week...which I planned on using, but couldn't wait so I made them out of 3M "Di-Noc" instead (the same stuff that another member here wrapped the majority of his 1125R in!) What do ya's think?

I like that. How easy is it to work with. And where did ya get it? |

Thanks. I make decals/signs/truck lettering "part time". The material is fairly easy to work with...but it does take a lot of patience due to the curvature of the parts it's being applied to. HEAT is your friend with this vinyl! You can see more info about the vinyl here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ewItem&item=220626519494&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME %3AL%3AEOISSA%3AUS%3A1123 I suppose if there was enough interest in these here that I would look into getting a sponsorship here...?? I've been thinking about stripes just like that, but just white for my red plastics or red for my white plastics. How much are we talking about? |

EZ: They are CRG "Arrow" mirrors. I like them a lot...but I guess I should, for the price ($75 each). Had the typical round ones on the Blast and then the XB9SX...thought this shape complimented the CR's lines better though. |

Yes they do, but then I have to go to conventional signals, still that could be worth it, I ran the 2" CRGs on my fast Blast on top of the Kellerman bar-end signals on 12" bar Profi clip-ons. Very durable mirrors - survived many drops - are those durable? I've been thinking my new Traction grips and bar end weights till now - lol EZ |

I am not a fan of faux CF (or anything faux really) but those stripes look awesome. Too bad the bulbous nose of my r is not a candidate...on the CR they look perfect. |

Do you have the head light removed or custom lights? Or is it just the angle of the camera that makes it look like you don't have a light? |

Head light is there. Must just be the high angle of the pics... |

I might have to hire you to do my bikes. I did up my XB a while back, and it looks great from 50' away, but like ass up close due to all the wrinkles and bubbles and such.

They make it so easy to wrap stuff. I've found (by trial and error) the best way to wrap a concave surface is to stretch the wrap relatively tight over the concave curve, hit it with a heat gun and stretch the vinyl into position. Makes the carbon fibre wrap look even more real....

Yep, I used a heat gun (not blow dryer). I just fail at the simple things in life. |
