Actually I really want a pair. I'll tell Santa. But right now I have the bike swinging from the rafters using 4 HD ratchet straps. Beauty of that is I can elevate the bike enough to get all around it at a convenient height. It's pretty cool looking too. : D

Next up: Home made belly pan? Maybe so...

I did the same thing to stabilize mine when I installed the Erik Buell Racing exhaust.

I used a large A-Frame Ladder and Rachet Straps to lift the rear for a tire change.

I've used the ladder trick before. One word of caution hanging from the rafters, some have lap joints that may not like the load (yes from experience).

Take a look at T-Rex stands, they have been great for my 12r and 1125r.

I have eye-bolts in the ceiling for exactly that. Honestly, I like it better than stands.

I put an eyebolt in mine and have a large ratchet strap hooked to a smaller pull strap that is attached to the seat frame.... had to take the seat off. But just swapped tires out doing that. Plus my kids like swinging from it now that the bike isn't on it...... haven't decided if that is good or bad yet.

I'll get some pics after I clean the shop. It's a disaster after a busy day or machining aluminum parts for a PC mod. Silver chips EVERYwhere (except the bike of course). I need to detail the bike now that it's finally out of the weather.

Blower1 thank you I got the templates. Not sure if I will use your design or make something up myself but I wanted to have them to get some ideas. Very nice templates and thanks for sending them Priority all the way from Finland: you are an ACE. cool

I don't think Buell 1125's are a Redneck choice. But what do I know, I'm a transplanted New Jersey Jew in California. But I still don't think so.

Agreed on the redneck comment. The problem is the limited availability of a vendor provided rear stand that is actually wide enough for the 1125 rear swingarm.

Have a pair of th T-Rex stands for my tuber. The rubber covers on the pad side will tear and mark the 1125 swingarm. I got some 1/16 nylon sheets and put them over the covered ends. Cut them and use a heat gun to mold them around the ends. They won't mark the swingarm then.

Red Green agrees.

Red Necks ride sportbikes. You just need to get down South and check it out. Scott Russell?

Maybe I should have titled the thread Hillbilly Pitstand instead : D I'm probably more of a Hillbilly than a RedNeck come to think of it.

But whatever you call me just don't call me late for supper.
