I'm looking to fit a high bar that has this criteria in comparison to the Buell high bar: 1. 2" wider 2. less pull back 3. same rise or lower 4. same clamp area diameter 5. same grip area diameter I know some of you have fitted a different handlebar. Are you planning to replace the clamp? I guess you would need to if you want a single diameter bar since the clamp is for 41mm bars and I have no idea where you'd get a throttle tube at that size. | ||

Nope. I mean in relation to the Buell bars, not each other. That is confusing. I'll edit. | ||

I put on a Rizoma bar..I think the bar has more pull back than stock. You are going to need a 'fat bar' which all taper down to the standard size...unless you plan on outfitting your buell with harley controls. I would look into dirt bike fat bars as they have a lot less pull back and various rise sizes. Renthal might be a good choice. | ||

So its 14 years later and I never pursued a different bar and now I'm back at it. Does anybody have more to add? Is the 1190sx bar higher and wider and will it bolt on? |
