Hi All I read an article in one of the mags the other day and they were recomending to set the fork height so it was flush with the top clamp. From stock mine was set to the 3rd line down so there is appx 1 inch of fork top protruding above the clamp This adjustment isnt mentioned in the user manual. Is anybody else doing this? Stu |

The OEM geometry is set using the fork rings under the triple clamp. It's somewhat common to set the bike up "tall" for racers, such as 5mm of tube showing above the clamps. I think mine are 10mm. Not stock, but not so tall. I compensate by adding ride height in the rear. But flush would be crazy. It would make the front end so high you would never be able to compensate with enough ride height in the rear. |

I believe Shawn Higbee and The James Gang ran the forks dropped all the way down in the triples. |

I believe Shawn Higbee and The James Gang ran the forks dropped all the way down in the triples. Does that mean flush? Maybe we should say raise and lower instead. |
