Not to add to the stator nonsense, but, at 6000 miles this morning my battery light came on after idling for 15 minutes, got stuck in traffic which is extremely rare for me. as soon as i saw the light i was looking for a turn around, gave it a little throttle and the battery light went off, all was good again 14.3v at highway speeds. I was just wondering if that is the supposed "fix" in action or do i need to look to a dealer. original stator and harness upgrade at 0 miles. This bike has been flawless since i bought it brand new. i'm pretty sure the dealer i bought it from did every update or possible fix they could before i bought it, i mean even the turn signals are what were on it at delivery. |

That's it in "normal" operation with the fix in place. More than 5 mins idle is enough for the voltage to drop significantly, 15 mins would in all likelyhood bringt he light on (I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner) and then back up to 14.3V when you're revs increase is about right. Should be nothing to worry about.. |

i was kind of leaning towards that but wasn't sure. 2 weeks ago i got stuck in traffic because of an accident for nearly 20 min, but the battery light never came on and i was watching it that time and it dropped to 11.9v. this bike does not like idling. |
