welcome to the site! I have a red 09 CR. there are two little things here that you may or may not know about. Anonymous posters are like gods around here. If you question an anon poster or misspell Erik (Buell) as Eric the faithful will clearly let you know. |

Welcome to the board.. Aren't red lights on the front of bikes illegal in your state? |

You would have to check your regulations as that kind of thing can vary by area, but most if not all states prohibit the use of front facing red lights. It sure will look great when you are parked though. Ride it a bit before you go crazy with the mods, you may find some of them (especially the D&D) to be unnecessary or possibly negatively affect the bike. |

Definitely check with any local or statie LEOs that you know about the red LED. I think I answered your question on BuellXB with the bulb size. The only reason I decided it was okay to do so (red LED facing forward) was because I have 55W HIDs which pretty much floods out the red from the running lamp. The only time you can really see it is if you duck down below the flyscreen and look up at it, or if I have the bike in park mode for busy parking lots at night or bike nights -- though I haven't been to a bike night yet haha. I asked one of my friends who's a local LEO and he said it was fine I would be bother by it. Your area could be different ... (Message edited by jeepinbueller on September 20, 2010) |

If you click on "Edit Profile" at the top, it will show you your most recent posts. I personally just have it email me on new posts, easier for me to keep track of in my opinion. |
