I just wanted to say that the 1125R is by far my favorite ride to date. Since the fire sale, I have clocked just over 5k miles... for me this is high. I have a wife and 6 year old twins, so my riding is limited to mostly commuting with limited weekend riding. I come from a history of only in-line 4 Jap rockets, and the Buell was my first V twin. In the past, cold weather or rain would keep me from riding. Since I bought the Buell, I've pretty much been riding everyday possible where I didn't have meeting conflicts or really bad rain. Last year I rode the Buell pretty much until the snow flew and was out this year after the salt and sand washed away. So basically, I'm addicted to this bike. In previous years I would do on average 2500mi/year here in Wisconsin based on my years of ownership and mileage when sold. I want to say thanks to everyone here on the board for all the information sharing. I've done my share of bitching because of my stator, but some of the solutions you guys have posted are worth far more than parting with the 1125R.
Thats good news "09", I have the 09 too and lost the stator @ 9028mi. The harness was installed for the first time with the stator and a new V/R was was thrown on just in case.
I'm @ 11,000mi right now and the charging is regulating in a way that makes sense. The charging system doesn't seem to favor short hops in succession although the volts haven't got below 13 but even 13 is a bit scary. The 1125 is truly Beauty & Beast,, there just ain't nothin' like it.
i'm heading down to blood mtn but its gonna be next weekend. cant wait to stretch her legs! also gonna hit the cherry cola, both of which i've never seen.
I need a vacation. Too damn busy this summer. I tried to make Daytona, but no one else I ride with could make it. Tried for the dragon too, same thing. Figured it would be best to not ride solo.
nukeblue watch out going across blood mtn. the po-po is wearing it out. And don't pass any black suv's that pull out in front of you for no reason . They are baiting you to pass .
Nukeblue - You will LOVE Blood Mountain. Here's some videos from my trip there with the 1125R in the spring. Just be sure to go after 5pm, then the cops go home and the road is all yours (and the locals) for another 2+ hours of daylight.
Good luck with your stator. Supposedly if you ride the bike correctly (in the rpms of the above videos) you won't have any problems!
jng, nice profile pic. i just started local action shooting using a kimber. i'm lovin that gun! i can actually hit something now i got the dawson front sight and toned down my loads
Nukeblue - Fiber Optic front sights are a must for action shooting, and Dawson's are among the best. If you're shooting .45, you definitely need to reload down to about 170 power factor, factory loads are 200+ and cost a ton.
Be safe, have fun and take some videos or pictures of your trip.

Eddie - it's a GoPro standard definition using the included suction cup mount. Check out my other videos on YouTube. I also have an HD GoPro and made a picture-in-picture with the HD on the front and the standard def behind on the 1125R during a run through Deal's Gap.

Rocco, I'm down for the Dragon or Buelltoberfest. I have a new set of Q2s on the way. I'll need to borrow your rear stand if you don't mind. I may just pick up a cheap Long Duck Dong stand from Harbor Freight if I ever take the cage to work. That fire sale was the best thing ever... Getting me on a Buell that is. Hopefully things shake out for the best, for Erik and some new production bikes.

I'd be up for buelltoberfest. Need to find a place to sleep and a way to get the bikes down there. No way I'm riding the bike 800 plus miles each way. Plus if there are any issues....... We should get together and talk about it. Let me know when you need a stand.
Yo Jng1226, are you going to Buelltoberfest? If so, I want to follow you. I'm looking into getting a GoPro for the trip. BTW, your videos are awesome man.
Mike - I so want to go to Buelltoberfest, but I've got a 3-month old son (our first) and it's so tough to do anything these days. My in-laws may come next month so if I get the timing right I might be able to go. It would be awesome to get a bunch of 1125s on video blitzing Deal's Gap, Blood Mountain, Cherohala Skyway, and my favorite loop going west on the Blue Ridge Parkway and coming down the mountain on 215.
Make sure you also get a spare rechargeable battery for your GoPro HD. My last trip there I missed some epic rides because I only had one battery and it only records about an hour and half at max resolution.
Hopefully we'll see you at T.W.O. in Suches next month!
Jeff, thanks for the heads up on the battery, I'll look into getting some more batteries. Hopefully there some power available at the campground. I hear ya on the kids, they definitely change the riding situation. Looking forward to tearing some twisties, hope to see you there.
