is it just me or does everyone with the race ECM not have turn signals anymore... oh and now just the right headlight works on low beams, and both headlights go on high beam??? wtf? it sure does feel great though on the track!! holy midrange torque coming out of corners!!

The ECM is not effecting those things...that's totally unrelated. |

The ecm ONLY controls engine management if that stuff was controlled by a control module that would be a BCM and the bike does NOT have one of those...I suggest checking your blinker fluid for either being low or contaminated with damper fluid.. |

I didn't have that happen. But when I reflashed my flux capacitor my clutch stopped charging and my stator started weeping. Wait, what? |

Must be time to switch to synthetic blinker fluid! Well hmm I'll have to dig around in the wiring now! |

thought this was a joke but maybe not the turn signals don't work cause you took the front mirrors off. Likely got a headlight bulb burned out. |

mystery solved!! it just happened that after installing it amidst my bike being in track mode, doing 2 track days with it, then putting it back to street mode, i happened to blow the AUX fuse that powers the turn signals AND i burnt out a headlight bulb. its odd that things like that happen at the same time; i was certain that it was something else!! oh well, new fuse and bulb in, and it works like always... perfectly odd. |

Pizza: Shit like that happens all the time man. You change something that could possibly have something to do with the thing that just broke and it makes you second guess yourself. Shit happens to me all the freaking time!! |

My 1125R is such a POS that just parking it in the garage caused my alternator to go out on a car parked nearby. I put the E B R unit in the bike, and the car's alternator was still toast. I expect better damn it!! Mike P.S. Reality = I have 3K trouble-free miles on my '09R and absolutely love the thing. The last 1K were done with the E B R unit, and it made me love the bike even more! |

Thanks for passing on what the problem really was, Pizzaboy. Fuses are weird, and turn off the oddest combination of things on a lot of vehicles! |

Glad you got it all taken care off my 1125 burned a bulb on the way to get the voltage regulator put in. You would think that the dealer would stock them........ Nope but a good reason to order HID's LOL I am at 9k about to put my third set of tires on.one voltage regulator(3k just after the recall) |

i fully blame the intense tire wear of my pirelli's on the Erik Buell Racing race ecm. im considering an HID upgrade for my bike instead of just replacing the bulbs.... it could very well happen next week! |

BTW, jinxed myself with my wisea$$ post Friday afternoon, saying my '09R had been trouble-free. Guess what happened on the 4-mile ride home? Battery light, CEL, "system voltage" displayed. Looks like the stator is toast. I was so not wanting to join that club ... No more jinx posts! Mike |
