Yes, 1000 Kilometers, which is what you are at. Air cooled models are 1000 miles for the first service. |

Did you tell them that the service manual states that your bike needs to have an oil/filter change at 620mls? What did they say?? |

"Air cooled models are 1000 miles for the first service." I thought ALL 1125's were water cooled?? (Message edited by BuellsRuell on September 13, 2010) |

Hopefully soon! I have been doing tons of OT and its been cutting into my riding time, but that seems like its over now. Post up in the Hudson Valley Crew section, perhaps something is going on between now and the Headless Horseman Run |

They were confused about the 1125 service interval. It needs its service at 620 miles |

Explain it SLOWLY. Draw pictures for the bigger words. "The 1125 uses a EUROPEAN engine. It is based in KILOMETERS. So yes, the first service is at 1,000...KILOMETERS. Which is equal to 620 miles." Show them the service counter on the instrument panel if they doubt you. If they STILL argue with you...well... (just re-read - this is LIBERTY?? Damn, they should know better!) |

If it's not free, why are you taking it to ANY dealership? |

Lmao- I just want the first service in-house cause I ordered the bike from texas and had a private shipper Deliver it. Since it's an 08 I wanna have a local Shop make sure that it's flashed up to date and there's no recalls to be done. Also the battery died Once on me and I had a few false neutrals on my last ride. Btw I'm down for a ride soon hit me up |

My dealer gave me the same thing....I guess air cooled Harleys are serviced at 1000 miles. Once I explained that mines wasn't an aircooled motor and had different service intervals they realized their mistake. It was funny the other day: I picked up an oil filter for my 1125, and they asked if I wanted it chromed or black. Threw me off track for second. The customer service rep seemed dumbfounded when I explained that the filter was inside the engine, not screwed on outside... Then I had a good laugh when she asked when motorcycle companies started doing that... |

Mine did the same when I asked how much the 620 mile service was... Her reply.."The 1125 is not due for 1st service until 1000 miles" Oh,and BTW...They want $315.00 for 1st service. |

"Oh,and BTW...They want $315.00 for 1st service." What a rip off. I got 4 qts of Amsoil (1 extra) for $50 shipped (had to join for 6 months). |

Yeah, that's why I'll do 1st service at 620 myself. But they do throw in a free wash(Even if your bike is spotless)LOL |
