Author Message   Nukeblue Posted on Monday, September 13, 2010 - 12:57 pm:        well i decided to get the syn-3 20-50 out of the new steed. for a couple reasons i decided to go with a little lighter oil. 1- i live in ohio & i ride down to 25 deg, winter is coming! 2- this is a liquid cooled overhead cam engine so the tolerances gotta be tighter & run cooler right?? 3- screw h.d. i went with repsol 10w-50! anyone have any luck with this? maybe it's just me but it feels like the trans shifts better. it was between that or motul 15w-50   Avalaugh Posted on Monday, September 13, 2010 - 01:09 pm:        I have run Silkolene 15-50 for over a year 5000 miles and she still feels great. From what i've read the HD oil is not really best for these engines. My local Aprilia dealer use the Silkolene 15-50 and suggested i did too as it's all Rotax
