Erik Buell's hands are really tied by agreements with harley and any deals that he signed off on. Usually when a patent or civil legal cases goes before a judge. The court usually goes against the party that violates an agreement or law. Also in these corporate lawsuits legal fees can run as high as $500,000, depending on amount the plantiff seeks and complexity of the cases. So I don't see anyone one really wanting to screw with anything harley has the rights to. |

There are loopholes to most every contract. You just need to employ the right lawyer group to find them. Ask any politician, those little blood suckers find the loopholes all the time. lol |

First, Chris must have recentlt hit his head to make such a statement. Or just be fishing to see if he finds someone who actually knows. Second, nobody on any of the blogs or here have any clue what contracts may exist between H-D and Erik. It's ridiculous to read all the people emphatically stating what can and can't be done. What is being done and is going to be done will meet all requirements, that's for certain. It simply makes sense to wait, as everything else is bar gossip. |

I have heard of a few race teams ditching the floating setup on the ZTL2 brakes and mounting the rotor solid to the wheel, to use the wheel itself as a heatsink. |

> mounting the rotor solid to the wheel, to use the wheel itself as a heatsink. That's more or less what the Erik Buell Racing hardware mounting kit does. |

He and I were chatting primarily about the race season after I told him what I rode, and as he started to head towards his seat, he added the BRP comment. Sounded quite confident in the statement, did not sound like rumor mill stuff to me. I'm waiting anxiously to see what materializes. Harley does need cash. |

I am by no means calling YOU a liar. I'm sure he said what you claim. Just not to sure of his "source". Again, it would be cool. |

Would Erik be involved with any BRP business dealings, or would wish to is part of the question, the other being have they contacted him at all concerning any business? I think that would be to early to divulge. EZ |

Well I am planning on staying Buell but there are many potential Buell owners going by the wayside if something doesn't happen soon . You are correct in the fact that nobody knows whats going on between Erik and the great Satan but it is getting near time to find out.The 1125 is a great platform but it has minor problems that are becoming major problems with you know who's help (or lack there of). So maybe a tidbit of hopeful direction couldn't hurt. How about something from Erik or is there still a nocompete clause in effect I am not so informed as some and would like to know as I am sure allot of people would. |

We will see what comes tomorrow. And I try to avoid the 1125r part of B'Web. Seek the truth and it will set you free. |

Well whatever comes on the 14th I believe that we should be a little optimistic of the outcome. We as owners of our Buell bikes should be proud just to have what we have (a quality product). You have to realize that it may just be that Erik has something up his sleeve or it may just be that our emotions are getting the best of us. Just be patient. Good things come to those who wait. |

You mean the same 5 people posting over and over, same bitching and moaning over something stupid, same buggy software that won't remember your password, and a 103kb file size limit? You bet! |

Check out the latest news about the 1190 directly from E_B_R in their press release issued today: http://roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=4 1967 ERIK BUELL RACING UPDATES Exciting progress in 2010 thanks to grassroots support! East Troy, Wis. (September 13, 2010) – Erik Buell Racing wants to thank all the supporters, customers, sponsors and suppliers who have helped the new company get quickly on its feet and running hard. From a cold start-up in the winter of 2010, the company has been able to get into business supplying thousands of orders for parts to support Buell racers and track day riders around the world, build bikes that have won championships in Europe and the US, and now be in the process of preparing to get back into production of a new American sport bike. “We are going through a huge shakeup in our country. But the American spirit of can do and can help is at its best in times like these." said Geoff May, who has piloted the #99 Erik Buell Racing 1125RR Buell to multiple top ten finishes, as high as sixth, in the later part of the season in AMA Pro Racing Superbike. "It motivates me even more to get the best out of the bike and myself knowing that we have so many fans out there who believe in us." Geoff and Erik Buell talk about the supporters who have gone to the www.ebracingteam.com site to donate towards the #99 race team. "There was no question that we had to start work on a new street motorcycle design for 2011, but we also knew we had to go racing at the highest level in 2010." Erik said. "The solution came from suggestions on our social media sites, where race fans told us they would support us directly if we would just set up a site. We could not have made the last four rounds of the series without these contributions, as we simply needed to invest our money into the new motorcycle." Erik Buell Racing's #99 team is also sponsored by Rat Pak Records America, who will be celebrating the season and the future by releasing a video on their site featuring music from Michael Wilton's new CD behind a fun teaser video on Erik Buell Racing. "The whole race team and fan base for Erik Buell Racing are really fun, full of rock energy, and so we wanted to give them some entertainment." said Joe O'Brien of Rat Pak Records. The #99 Erik Buell Racing team will finish out the 2010 AMA Pro racing season at Barber Motorsports Park September 24-26th. Erik Buell Racing is an independent motorcycle and motorcycle parts manufacturer. Erik Buell Racing is currently developing a new line of production motorcycles under the Erik Buell Racing brand. Erik Buell Racing also specializes in the supply of race-use-only Buell motorcycle parts and race preparation services for engines and motorcycles, and the building and sale of Buell® 1125R-based race-use-only motorcycles under license from Harley-Davidson, as well as providing technical support to racers of Buell Motorcycles. |
