I am a week away from pulling the trigger on a lower fairing kit. I'm leaning towards the ZAS kit mainly because of price. For it, you can't be beat. (Unless I'm sorely mistaken... feel free to correct me!) I have one worry about the ZAS kit, and I've searched searched searched and could not find an answer. Does the belly pan fit with the stock exhaust? |

I ask it from the Solo Buell and here is the answer: Yes, the belly pan fits with the oem exhaust. It has a mark on it to cut there or not if you are using the oem exhaust or an aftermarket one. |

Ininew, where are you buying the ZAS kit from, solobuell? |

When you order be sure you specify you need it to clear the stock exhaust. The earlier race version I bought in May did not. Ultimaterider used me as a reference to a potential customer, and he said ZAS told him they were going to start making a street fairing that would. So I'm not sure if the one Blower mentioned is a different one than mine or if they just modified the original design. |

ZAS actually contacted me today too...For a full set of lowers and belly pan shipped to my address would cost me about $524. I need to see how much a Flexiglass kit would cost shipped. |

Westmoorenerd, contact Pete at Grandstand Designs. He carries everything Flexiglass sells for Buell and he's a sponsor here. |

Here are pics of my ZAS fairings.. have a carbon fibre vinyl wrap.... They fit super easy - only thing I had to do was enlarge the holes in the top of the pod covers so the shoulders of the bolts would fit and line the insides of the pod covers with a very thin closed cell foam so they don't scratch the factory pod plastics. Didn't buy them directly from ZAS but another reseller 'cause it worked out being cheaper that way.

looks to me like you managed to fit a frame slider on there...how did you do that? |

looks to me like you managed to fit a frame slider on there...how did you do that? Frame slider's made by a company called Pelacrash - I believe they're out of Spain. Went together nicely, except the mounting bolts are a little long -- had to put 2 extra spacing washers into each side. If you put 1 side on without the spacers, the other side would not screw in all the way as the second bolt makes contact with the first. They work great at low speeds - had a 2mph tip over in a parking lot (stupid fertilizer pellets all over the asphalt) and the slider barely scuffed at all - same with the plastic clutch cover. The rest of the bike had zero damage. |

I really like how these look.... just waiting to see if E.b.R comes out with something before I pull the trigger... |

Thanks. First "Oggie Knobs" I've seen to fit a Buell with fuel in frame. |

I was planning on purchasing from Ultimaterider.net Westmoorenerd, lemme know what you find out about the Flexiglass stuff! Both sets look quite nice, price is a driving factor in my decision at the moment. |
