Author Message   Highlander51 Posted on Monday, August 23, 2010 - 01:22 pm:        Yesterday Pro Italia in Gledale Ca. put on an event called Cafe Desmo, a fund raiser to help rebuild some of the Angeles Crest HWY. What a great time. There was a bike show at the shop, lots of vintage Ducatis as well as many other beautiful bikes. Then a ride up the Crest to Newcombs's for lunch and a concert. Many Buell's showed up and the man himself, Erik Buell was there to chat with. I got there a little early and was able to talk with Erik and had him sign my air cover. Very nice man, but his rockstar status was pulling him in so many directions I think he was a little overwhelmed. He then played with the band which I missed because I needed to get home. I hooked up with a guy on a Ducati 1098 and had a great ride home. The Duc pulled me on the straights, but the 1125 had no problem staying with him thru the tight corners and pulled him thru the sweepers. Had a great time, I'm sure others here were there also. We SoCal guys should hook up more. I really enjoyed talking to fellow Bueller's and look forward to see you all again. I know because he never stopped smiling as I steered him toward the far corner to sign my own frame.
