I got a set of 2cts installed a week ago and had a track day on wednesday. What amazing tires! This is my 4th track night and I wasn't able to drag knee in the previous outings. The stock corsas just wouldn't turn. I've been adjusting my suspension so it was getting better but still wasn't to my liking. With the 2cts I was able to get a knee down in my first session. I ended up getting a knee down in 6 different corners! I didn't change my suspension. Just put on 2cts and everything worked awesome! I love these tires. Amazing grip and instill confidence right off the bat. |

Does anyone know what kinda of mileage you can get of out the Pilot Power 2ct? I average between 6-8K miles on a set. |

Buell77: Thats pretty serious lean angle, nice pic! I too just switched to Pilot Powers and I agree with you; they are night and day compared to the Corsa III's. Ironically I was supposed to hit the track in Calgary that week too! I am living in Saskatoon but hope to get out to racecity sometime in Sept if the stars align. PS. What kind of pipe is that? BG said it was pretty loud! |

I switched to a 2ct front and a regular pilot power rear this year. They seem to be a great set of tires I have done 2 track days on them in 90+ degree heat and they still look good. |

Does anyone else have a line down the middle of their rear tire? It looks like a seam where the tires is put together. |

Mountainstorm: Yes I think the photographer took an amazing photo. I almost can't believe that its me! T man: There's a track day on September 2 and a track night on the 15th. I'll be at both. The pipe is a Keda Design RT-3. Its loud all right! But I love it! I love the cf helmet too! It just shines in the sun. |

Nice lean Buell77. I can't do that... yet! And thanks for the useful review on the change in rideability with the 2CTS. I have track school this week and an track day next week. I hope to finishing tearing the stock rubber off Pearl then. With your recommend here (and others I have noted) will put the 2cts on for my Smoky Mountain time in October! Cheers |

Buell77 - I am going to make a real effort to get to the Sept. 2nd track day - I haven't been on a (real) track in about 10 years... I can't wait any longer! I hope to see you there! |

Are you guys getting paid to talk shit on Pirellis? Or is BadWeb sponsored by Michelin? I don't think I'd ever switch over from my Rosso Corsas to a Michelin. I'm absolutely amazed that you guys have "problems" with the Corsa III's. I did four trackdays on a set and never once had a problem with them. Do any of you who have problems with the CorsaIIIs ever set the pressures before you go out on the track? A proper cold pressure in the CorsaIII is around 27/27. What were you running? |

Perhaps some of the problems attributed to the Corsa III's are explained by the difference in the OEM Corsa III fitted to the bike vs. a store bought Corsa III fitted as replacement... strangely they OEM fitted tires are not always of the same quality as a store bought replacement of the exact same tire. I learned this from a reliable source. Think tirerack dunlops vs. Walmart dunlops. |

I think I ran 32 at the track on the corsas. That's what I was told to run. Definitely higher than what you run. I think I might have squared off the stock corsas on the street. That might have had something to do with it. I'm pretty sure I'm going to try DRC for my next set of tires. |

T_Man: My first 4 track days were done on the OEM CorsaIII and I had absolutely no problems. I was bumped up to level 2 after my second day too, so I wasn't dragging ass either. I just have a feeling that people not liking their CorsaIIIs has more to do with setting them up properly and riding ability than it does with the actual tire. But who knows... Buell77: You'll love the Rosso Corsa. I'll guarantee it. I run hot pressures of around 30/31 with them...was that 32psi a cold temp or checked hot off the track? If that's a cold temp, your hot temp is probably around 35-37...and on the track that's WAY too high for the Corsa. (Message edited by drawkward on August 24, 2010) |

It sounds like my pressures were way to high. Jduggers pressures are a lot like yours. I'm going to try drc next. They are about 125 more. I had to try the 2cts. And they were less money. |

All I can say is I had nowhere near the confidence in the Corsa III's that I have in the Pilot Powers. When I used to race I always used either Michelin, Dunlop or Metzler so maybe that skews my perception of the Pirelli's.. I have no doubt that the pukka Supercorsa would be horny though. Oh and one last thing - things must have changed in regards to tire pressures on the track because no one I knew ran anything less than 28 psi cold. I realize dunlop has a new tire in which you can run super low pressures but I would be very wary of running anything less than 25 psi cold on normal hoops. My 2 cents. |

2CT is a great (street) tire, but I can run a faster lap on (a new set of) the Corsa III. I can't get the rear end to stick on the 2CT like I can the Corsa. HOT of track pressures: 28-30 rear, 30-32 front. Again, HOT pressures, not cold, not come into the pits, put the bike on stands, have a Gatorade and check pressure, but hot coming off the track. I've not run the new Rosso Corsa. I have run the Superbike Pro "endurance/trackday" slick -- that's a really, really long lasting track day choice. Good god, that tire lasts forever. I've now taken two sets off because of heat cycles and loss of grip long before they are out of rubber. I'll run those all winter because they don't tear up like the race tires do when run below 200F. My tire of choice now for track is the Diablo Supercorsa SC3 rear SC2 front. For street, eh, whatever ya got will do the trick! 2CT, Pure, Diablo, Corsa, they are all great for a canyon ride. |

Running 27/27 in the corsas on the street will not help them turn like a Michelin 2ct. Pirellis have great grip, but I love the quick handling of the 2ct's! |

I still have my stock corsa III on the front and diablo supercorsa on the rear. The diablo supercorsa is an awesome tire and will hold up way better at the track. My rear is finally whooped and I will be getting a set of Diablo Supercorsa for sure...and maybe a set of warmers |

I wish i had my gopro on yesterday at NJMP when the guy in front of me high sided hellaciously. The dude was 6 feet in the air sideways and I had to run off track to avoid him. Speaking to him afterwards he was bummin because he had a brand new Dunlop Q2 sportmax on the rear and it surely stepped out on him. I was on a beat diablo supercorsa and it was still grippier than the Q2. Plus I had a Q2 on before and while it was great at first, it lost its grip pretty quick. Also at njmp on the 23rd there was a race and this dude was out in front the whole race. (i was helping score) On the last lap he was passed early and gapped pretty good which seemed odd since he was dominating. I caught up to him after the race to find out his Dunlop BROKE . The tire had this crazy dent in it. To each his own with the tires but for track use its the Pirellis for me hands down. |
