Hello all, So the question I have for everyone is simply this. What are the difference between the 2008 model and the 2010 1125r. I have read about the different quirks that both of them have, but I'm sure that I don't know them all... I am also curious to know if there is anything mechanically different between the two years. As well as the thoughts and feelings everyone has on the subject. I personally love my 2008 1125r to death, but a friend of mine has recently had an old gentlemen turn into him and total his 06 xb12r. So now sence he is as big of a bueller as most, he is looking at the 2010 1125r. I figured I would make sure he is just as well informed about the quirks as he can be. Thank you once again. | ||

I guess I can start the list with a few things I know of. - Higher output stator/ heavier flywheel (likely not a plus) - Re-angled injectors for better performance? (upgradable I think) - Quieter running motor (re-designed cam guides etc.) - Oil sight window instead of dip-stick - Three bearing in the rear rim vs. two in earlier models | ||

I honestly think they are a pile of junk bike, he can have mine for 6500 its mint, with plenty of mods. It's a black 1125R, 2800 miles Erik Buell Racing ECM, GPR damper, custom exhaust, blue race pegs, bluewindscreen. Send PM if interested. | ||

I have an '08 R and can't get enough of the intake noise at WOT. I understand that their was a redesign on the '09 & '10 models to quiet that melody to appease the EPA, what a shame! The '08's don't seem to have the stator problems. The '08's did not have as many instrument cluster capabilities but mine was upgraded prior to purchase. The O2 sensors were relocated. I am sure there are a few others not mentioned, but that is all I have. | ||

That would be incorrect. There were no changes to any part of the air intake system for all 3 years. | ||
