Went with a few guys to a place I have never been with guys I have never ridden with, bad first impression. Those of you in Ca. may know of a place called the Rock Inn, not the rock store! Typical Tues ride and I decided to go, threw the girl on the back and hit the road @ 6pm. About 60 miles in I get a check engine light and a batt light, toggle over to Volts and I'm at 11.6, not good. Decided to turn around and made it to I5 and Hwy 138 but that was it. I got home via truck at midnight. Dropped the bike off for warranty yesterday and plan on getting all the issues done at once so I will be without it for a while. Whats messed up is the bike has been sitting for a few months as I had no real desire to ride it but now that its gone I want it back NOW. |

If/when your stator dies... UNPLUG your headlights! Much better chance of getting home. Zack |

Good idea on the headlight/s. Part of my rewiring involved wiring the right hand low beam up through the AUX relay. When my stator fried the ECM turned the RH low beam off for me I did manage to make back to my buddies garage, the bike idled for about 10 seconds then died. I just opened the door and pushed it in. This was over a month ago. Still waiting for the local dealer to get the replacement stator. |

So after reading the stator horror stories I decided to call the dealer and ask them about it. They told me that they have a cure, have installed the cure on several bikes with no issues. They did tell me that they have had bikes from other dealers come in after the update that were still having problems and they got those right as well. Something to do with calibrating? |

They are probably thinking of the harness update as the 'cure' |
