I'm starting a good few scratches on my Buell from my belt buckle and from the lower part of my zipper on my jacket. What tank (airbox) pads are the best ones you guys have seen for our bikes??? (Message edited by motorhead102482 on August 18, 2010) |

http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/9010.html since i can't find the one i was taliking about, that might be your next best option. ... or you could always get one of those odd-shaped mis-fitting plastic tank protectors with a big green hyabusa letter/logo on it .... |

My Cortech tank bag has a wide band that comes down and serves to hold the bag and protect the tank. So far has worked great. No scratches. I leave the bag on all the time. |

I run the full set of Gripster pads...Frame, side of airbox and buckle guard. Not only helps with temperature, keeps the airbox and frame from getting scratched. |

Geeeze...just get out the polish once a month...! It ain't that hard to do. You'll have long since sold the bike before you polish it too thin. Mike |

I got a carbon fiber one from suzuki. Doesn't say suzuki on it though, just plain. So much better looking that the "simulated" carbon protectors and it was $22 at the dealer. Wish it was a little wider though. (Message edited by hack_job on August 18, 2010) |

I bought mine from there, it replaced the American Flag one that was on there originally.. Much more in keeping with the bike now |
