a lot of the threads on here deal with issues with the 1125, so i just want to post up the great trouble free day i had on the 1125 today. My brother and I took the 1125 to palomar and had some fun. It ran flawlessly, and this was my first time really cranking on it, it is insanely fast. Some pics of me: Some pics of my brother:

I wish I could have picked up a CR during the fire sale. My R is spectacular and suits me well but as much as I love my XB9SX, I can only imagine how much more awesome the "Streetfighter" version of my R is. More pics and video please! |

Damn it ... I was planning to work all day, but now that I've seen this thread I'm inspired to take 3 hour lunch instead! My '09R is the best bike I've ever owned, and there's been plenty of them. I have about 2,600 miles on it now ... All of which I could be seen smiling like an idiot while in the saddle! |

I love my CR. It's a "do it all" machine. I mostly ride around locally, but it has taken me all the way to the Grand Canyon and back,.....3,546 miles round trip. Only issue was the clutch weep, long after I returned, other wise it's been perfect. |

If you add an exhaust and the Erik Buell Racing race ECM you'll love her even more. I added those, and some rear sets. I'm actually sad when I park my Buell now. |

I just did an epic 320 mile ride from outside Sacramento on hgwy 49 over the Sierra Nevadas to hgwy 89 to 80 and home. A picture perfect day and the roads from Downieville to Sierraville were awesome. The CR handled flawlessly and I'm very pleased with it. I prefer riding it more than my Ducati 999R since the comfort level is better. (Message edited by JohnnyS999 on August 12, 2010) |

My brother crashed my CBR600F2 and my Daytona 675 (just cosmetic stuff, but still don't like riding them until they're fixed) so I have been riding my 1125R pretty much exclusively and have been enjoying the heck out of it. It's a little uncomfortable in the near-100F heat but other than that, no complaints. |

lol freight train on meth- you hit the nail on the head brumbear! My CR has transformed me into a track junkie. Thats where it spends most of its time these days....and it loves me for it! It seems like(maybe its my imagination) but it seems to be getting faster. I had to take some time off from the track to take care of some business but I'm trying to get back next week. Lap times dont lie so we'll see. the CR is one bad mo f shut yo mouth! but im juss talkin bout the CR... (Message edited by 01lightning on August 12, 2010) |

It is nice to hear some positive things about the 1125's. I have not had much time to ride mine, and reading so much bad stuff was starting to bumb me out. I think it is one of the best looking sport bikes out there, with style and character that is one of a kind. I hope to get mine back from the shop tomorrow, just in time for the weekend...Thanks for the moral boosting thread. |

My problems with my 09 CR so far have been minimal and it continues to make me smile, particularly with the new Michelin 2cts on it! The Barker and Erik Buell Racing ECM goes on this weekend. I can't wait! -Tutt |

Ive been telling everyone who will listen how amazing this bike is. I only have a few minutes so I will have to elaborate later. A couple of pics from my spring trip. Rode the 1125 from Nashville to the Florida Keys and back. It was roughly 2800 miles in 8 days. This pic was on the scenic overlook in Suches.

Here, here! I absolutely love my 1125R. It is by far, the best bike that I have ever owned! I am currently working on getting a better seat but other than that, she is one great bike!!!!!! Oh, and if and when Erik mass produces the 1190 I will be buying one of those as well. Well, if I still have a job that is, Mr. President........... |

My CR is my best friend, my vacation every morning and evening, my sanity when I've been through a meat grinder of a day. Jump on and take a quick ride, and everything fades away. Been riding Buells (first a Lightning 12, then the CR) for about 4 years now full time, and it's the best thing I've ever done. Love every day, all over again when I hit the starter. rararaBOOM, badabadabadaRRRraaaAAAA! Rob |

I agree with you guys, great bike, my only problem is keeping a back tire on it, that is a problem I don't mind having to deal with though. |

My 1125's are amazing! I finally put my race ECM on my 08R and did about 350 miles this weekend on it. I have been riding with it stock for a while at first to compare fueling to my Race ECM equipped 09. The difference was night and day between the two, there is zero downside to the race ECM, including better fuel economy, I got 48mpg average on my first tank! |

I got 48mpg average on my first tank! I am guessing you weigh less than 120 lbs? That is truly amazing fuel mileage for a Rotax mill.} |

I rode this past Sunday with a pro stunt rider/former roadracer who followed me on the best canyons we have here in the LA area for like 6 hours. He was on his GSXR1000. Bottomline, he was shocked at how I was able to stay ahead of him (he even wrote about this on his facebook page). This wasn't about me being dangerous or crazy. I never put my knee down, never crossed the centerline, never went too fast for recoverability in blind corners. Just rode the quick usual pace and used the CR's grunt, balance and flickability. It was pretty damn fun. I was gonna let him ride it, but worried that he'd F' up my steering head bearings with his shenanigans. |

I have almost 7 months on my 09 1125R, and the bike is feeling more like a glove rather than an unstable, uncontrollable, machine. When I go into corners I trust the bike and my skills. When I power hard I know what to expect and understand the limits. I was able to do a 2nd gear stand up wheelie tonight! The feel of the bike has grown on me more than my 95 GSXR 750 of 4years and my CBR 600RR of 4 years. This Buell has helped my confidence level grow at its own pace. I really do respect the bike and its power. I know how quick all can go wrong. This winter I am picking up a set of leathers and will be going for my first track day next spring. I love the hooker (Bessie)~ |

I had a Harley Dyna Street Bob for a year, I put 3000 miles on it. I put 1500 miles on my 1125r in 2 months, I just couldn't stop riding it. I crashed it (lowside on a tight left hander) and broke my collarbone, replaced a pod cover, grip, and stator cover, and can't wait to ride again. Three more weeks according to the doctor. |
