Out-freakin-standing!!!! 6th place is awesome!!! For a small, new team with a new rider on a bike that was only created for racing 12 months ago, all on a shoe-string budget, it's fantastic! Go Erik Buell Racing!!!! How many more AMA rounds this season? 2? "I prefer my motorsports announced with an Australian or English accent. " I miss Barry Sheene(RIP) announcing the GP's, he used to crack me up

Lucky_jim - he he, you're right I'm going overboard a bit. I'm that hardcore motorcycle racing enthusiast that has watched for 20 years, so yes he does bother me that much. I understand that our sport needs to grow and get more people interested, but how Speed TV staffs motorcycle racing broadcasts compared to the also-specialist F1 is ridiculous. In their F1 broadcasts, Bob Varsha, Steve Matchett and David Hobbs provide great technical insight and accurate reporting of what to watch for in the race. Hobbs is a very experienced racer, Matchett a former Benetton F1 crew member and Varsha is a seasoned broadcaster with a genuine love for the sport. In motorcycle broadcasts, Shaheen really seems like a fish out of water, as if he was assigned by upper management to cover motorcycle racing even though he doesn't know anything about it nor have interest. What more needs to be said about Russell? I really like him but as a broadcaster I find him unable to eloquently express the technical details and the key dramas that are occurring on the racetrack. And that accent... Jonathan Greene is the guy you're referring to that commentates on WSBK. I'll call him a "mini-abomination" because while he is definitely the most annoying commentator ever, at least he knows the sport, characters and something about the bikes. His jokes and outburst are beyond horrible though, catching even his professional racer broadcast partner Steve Martin by surprise. A couple times there have been awkward pauses after an outburst where I swear you could picture Martin looking over at Greene and mouthing "please STFU!" |

As far as the Speed's AMA coverage, Jason Pridmore is clearly the best color guy in recent history. |

My personal favorite to hate on is Greg White. I kept thinking this guy will not last...but here it is 10 years later still at it, and actually riding a motorcycle (or trying). |
