Does anyone have a clue what the average selling price is for an 08? It has about 4800 miles on it. I'm selling mine and need to be sure I don't have to pay someone to take it off my hands. |

They seem to be going for around $6500. Could differ depending on your location. |

That is going to depend on area to some degree. Quick sale will have to priced accordingly. I have seen a few at 5k on Craigslist. I myself am waiting on a smoking deal on another R, than I'll have 2! |

Depends on how long you want to hold onto it. I'd say $4-4500 if you want to sell it in the near future. My 2010 has been sitting and it's priced at $7200. I'm in no hurry to sell so I'm just leaving it.. The market for selling anything sucks unless you price very aggressively. |

I paid 6500 for my 08 R two months ago with 3000 miles on it. There were none to be had in North Louisiana and I drove to Dallas to pick it up. The same dealer now has three more priced asking 7900 each. As said above it depends on the area and condition. I'm speculating that the prices will rebound from the fire sale. IMO the 08s sell better if in nice shape due to the stator issues. |

I don't think you can go by the fall prices, I got mine brand new for $3900 out the door, so I wouldn't say used should sell significantly less. The range is huge when you look, I see from $4500 - $12,000. My personal opinion is the bike with low miles, all things considered (parts, Buells future, etc), should be worth in $6K range - I mean that's half the new MSRP price, for an outstanding sportbike. But, who am I. LoL I think used with even high miles these are a steal at anything less than $5500, but whether the general buying population does, who knows. From your description, I'd say $6,000 for asking if you're not desperate, but again I saw 2 in the past sell with similar mileage for $4700 and $5200, which IMO is super low. |

"Ive got my 09 R for sell for $4500 and there has been a few bites but no major interest." Grammar Nazi says "it's 'for sale', not 'for sell'". Sale is a noun, sell is a verb. |

I bought my 08 with 1k miles 8 weeks ago for 5,500. Had I realized some of the problems and how most HD dealers have been handling them, I may have only offered 45 to 5k. Of course I may be a bit frustrated, beings that the bike has been in the shop for about seven weeks now. I am glad that I didnt buy a new one off the floor, which I almost did. |

Looking at eBay, they rarely get to $5K in bids from what I've seen. For my '08 with 4800 miles, clean, needs nothing, about $1K in various mods, mostly ergo, I've been offered $4200 trade-in toward a new Ducati. I paid $9300 in Feb 09. I'm in MA, dealer is in NH. I'm gonna take some test rides today, Ducati, Aprilia, Guzzi. Another recent poster here said he got $4K trade on a new HD. '08s on Craigs around here are listed at $6500-$8000, no telling what they sell for or if they sell. |

Whynot, before you trade the bike in give me a shout and let me know what they offer you. I may be interested in it for trade in value, cash of course. |

I just sold my 09 CR (2500 miles) for $3800 if that helps. Sold in a week. Anything over $4500 will probably sit. Bike magazine, Buell had lowest resale of any bike in 09; naturally because of the rebate. Bike Magazine is also British, so I’m not sure how their blue book works. Lots of other deals out there right now; Example, brand new 08 zx10s can be had for 7g, ZX6 for 6g and so on. When I was shopping I found all sorts of crazy deals and special financing. What’s a used Buell worth considering Harley was offing them at 5+g? I suppose you would have to be a Buell enthusiast to buy one, otherwise why would you buy a brand that no longer exists? Originally I was going to sell for 4800, but I saw how long all the others have been sitting. Good luck regardless. |

Thefleshrocket: You are correct. The bike is for sale. I usually dont let things like that slip. This bike is located in Plano, Tx and I have a gentleman flying in from Florida to drive it back. He is picking it up on the 25th of this month. |

Rode my 1125R back from Homecoming to Long Island and put 2000 miles that week. Not a problem with the wrists. Thought it was comfortable. |

Any distance and I spend a lot of time lying on the airbox. I rode Loretta to Homecoming and back to Colorado in 08. I fell asleep once, on the way home. The Tour Select is very comfortable. I am sure I will never sell Loretta. |

Actually the R is quite comfortable on the road, did just over 5k on my trip through the west coast and then back to Colorado. It was quite comfortable, the only hiccups on the trip were the stator that left me in a hotel for a few days in flagstaff and the issues with altitude, because the bike ran really poor at any altitude, but for touring it was just fine. |

I sold my 08 last week for $5300. It had 8500 miles on it, 2 fairly new tires and Pitbull Stands. |
