What happened was the vent hole in the puck got closed up from sliding across the road. I didn't realize what that would cause until several hundred miles later and odd clutch problems happened. Pressure or vacuum built up between the puck and the piston until so much fluid was inside the puck it started to push off cover. While all that was happening, my clutch would sometimes grab right off the grip and other times it would slip for a while. Once I put two and two together and realized the vent hole wasn't open and reopened it, the clutch stopped acting up, but the o-ring damage was done. All of this occurred less than 500 miles after getting the rev b cover and upgraded internals. If I had still had the rev a cover with that worthless plastic cap, it woulda been a much more expensive crash.

Danny- I'll give the other one a try, but 4 of the 6 dealers in my area stopped Buell support, won't service them, won't even order me a part. |

As an outsider i'm just curious..Brumbear,how often have you had to replace your seals? Are the seals the only issue? My other bike has a notorious issue with the clutch slave seals. The manufacturer redesigned the unit after my model year. The new unit actually fits my bike BUT i chose to stock up on seals. My seals get replaced once a year "just in case". Are your 1125 slaves easy to R&R? Seals are cheap.Just curious |

Yeah it's pretty simple. I took my time cuz I didn't know what the hell I was doing and had it done in less than an hour before bleeding the line. |

ditto I only had to change them once for the weep but the replacement seals I bought cause I couldn't get any and the new part was on backorder till supposedly end Sept were not compatable with dot 4 or 5 they were Viton. I also did AVC 's bike but he changed back to the stock seals and now can't get a clutch working. I am heading over there tomorrow if he still has the machine and see whats up with it. |

Brum, we had that issue too, couldn't get the system bled even with a vac pump. After a lunch break and reading the service manual, we bled the line first then vac pumped the clutch. That was the trick in my case. |

Noticed today that my CR (3,500 miles) is slowly leaking as well. Supposed to head to the dealer next week for the fix. |

My 09 1125R 4k miles has been @ the dealership for 36 days and it will be there for at least 7 more days. Waiting on clutch parts. Totally unsafe to ride. |

My dealer let me keep the bike until all the parts came in (I told them I wanted a new cover since it would be stained from the fluid), they now have everything except the actual piston kit... which he told me they might have in WISCONSIN on 10/15!!! And then it would have to be shipped here to NY of course! |

Why is it unsafe Barker? How many miles were you getting between fluid top offs? I rode mine all summer not getting more than 400-500 miles before I needed to add fluid and it was never unsafe. |

In Rkc's picture, it looks like the fluid is leaking from behind the plastic puck. I have, in the past few days only, noticed a very small about of fluid originating from the hole an inch below the plastic puck. Mine is an 08R. Do I have "The Weep"? or does "The Weep" only originate from beneath the puck? |

The fluid does drip into the bike as well as out of it and possibly drip under the tire? but I just didn't feel good about letting it leak was mostly my reason. |

The 08's originally had that worthless little plastic "puck" and the vent hole is actually in the clutch cover and not in the puck like the rev B covers on repaired 08's and stock on 09's and 10's. So yes, you have the weep. |
