Well, I finally found time to bring the bike to the dealer for the clutch weep/leak. At first the clutch would only leak while riding the bike, but apparently after sitting for three weeks while I was out of town on business, the reservoir went completely empty. The dealer was having trouble locating parts so I called HD headquarters and they figured out that my dealer had found some parts and had them ordered! I am definitely looking forward to getting my bike back! I need to call the dealer and make sure they are replacing the clutch cover as well because the leaking fluid has permanently stained my cover. I figured I would share the info that there are kits out there, your dealer just has to dig a little. |

Update #1 The parts still have not arrived at my dealer but are supposed to be en-route from a Buell dealer in Florida. From which specific dealer, I do not know. I called my service department this morning to find out if they plan on replacing my permanently stained clutch cover. The tech on the phone did not have an answer but said he would investigate the issue. I doubt that will happen! On a positive note, the dealer did replace my blown rear turn signal under warranty (they claim to honor a 2 year warranty on all bulbs). |
