I was really hoping against hope that I wouldn't be stricken with the curse, however with 1200 miles I now have a speedometer that cuts in and out and just 5 minutes ago I discovered I'm the proud owner of a nice bouncing baby clutch weep. I am pissed to say the leaast because I have a trip coming up in 2 weeks that I will now have to cancell and with H-D and there bullshit, I am expecting the bike to be sitting a while. the speedo doesn't bother as much as the clutch weep. I don't think it's safe to ride in that condition. Now I have to bring it to the dealer and see what they have to say. this truly sucks! |

Inform your dealer of the problems and then ride it until they're ready to fix it. |

You are making a huge deal out of nothing. Unless it's a gusher, there's nothing wrong with riding while the parts come in. Your dealer should be able to order parts and let you keep riding. No need to cancel your trip. LOTS of guys have ridden for quite some time with the weep. |

I rode for months with a clutch leak. I just added fluid when needed. (Message edited by black on August 06, 2010) |

I don't believe I'm making a huge deal out of nothing. My issue is with H-D and their lack of support and repulsive time frame on getting parts. Uke's is the dealership I deal with. Probably one of, if not, the most Buell friendly dealership. The first Buell dealer and the owner sat on the Buell board for 15 years. They were also involved in this years Homecoming. I have no problem with them working on the bike. Especially since it's still under warranty. (Message edited by rocketsprink on August 06, 2010) |

Most of the vehicles I ever owned were leaking something. As long as it doese'nt leak faster then you can fill it back up, no problem. Fix it ASAP. |

Sheeeeeeeaaaaahhhttt...I been riding with a weep for like 20K miles. Only had to top off the reservoir 2-3 times. No big deal at all. |

Rocco i wouldn't worry a lot on the weep. I haven't had the weep problem, but a buddy of mine has had it for a few thousand miles with no issue's. He has toped it once.. Take your trip and deal with it when you get back.. Like Rogo said. Just inform Ukes about your issue and when you get back from your trip HOPEFULLY they have the parts you need! |

rt_performance, Why do you say that the speedo cutting out is a vr problem, i thought it was caused by a faulty vss sensor? |

My clutch has been leaking (my fault this time) since May. You don't HAVE to cancel your trip for it. Top off the fluid before you leave and carry a small container of fluid if it'll make ya feel better. To conserve fluid, I up shift with the clutch. Enjoy your trip, it'll still be leaking and ready to be fixed when ya get back. |
