Used the search function but would like an updated opinion on a decent tank bag. One that attaches easy is my main concern. I have to do an overnighter or two this next month and need the storage. Should I just go to the Buell site and pick the one up there? The bike is a 1125CR. thanks |

I have the Buell tank bag, and it kind of sucks. I've been thinking about picking up one of the Roadgear bags to replace it. |

Cortech bags are pretty good, they've got a quick disconnect strap setup that's pretty nice. Matched tail and saddle bags too in a couple of colors. |

I changed to a cortech bag after zippers on my buell one broke. It works good. I have the 18L tank bag. The only issue I have had was getting another set of straps for my other bike. I waited 8 months for a set of straps. My suggestion would be to decide how often you are going to use it and what you are going to use it for and get the one that works for you. I use mine everyday. It holds all my stuff. Its like a purse for me cause I cant stand to ride with things in my pockets. |

I just finished gluing a bunch of magnets to the underside of my airbox, and now the First Gear bag works just fine.

Ditto to the above. I just got one and can't figure how/where to attach the rear bag and I also am not real comfortable with the front strap, which seems could interfere with the steering. |

I use the Cortech also, and have the rear strap around the cross member that the seat hooks under when you install it. All you need to do is move it off to the side a touch so it doesn't interfere with the hook on the seat and hold onto the strap when you install the seat. As for the front strap, put it under the fairing stay and it stays completely out of the way of any possible turning. Then just take it off when you don't need it. |

I just installed the Buell deluxe bag from American Sport Bike. The bag installs well but the zippers are a little stiff. I can easily reach around the bag to my high bars and the dash is completely visible. I wanted to go with the Cortech Super mini but it wasn't available. It was just made available at the Motorcycle Super Store. I think the Buell bag is Ok so far. |

Firstgear LAGUNA EXP GPS TANK BAG!!! I just got one of these and it works great. I've made mounts for my Uly, S3 and 1125r so I can switch it easily. The GPS popup allow you to use a cheap $100 4.3" tomtom instead of the high dollar weather proof ones you find elsewhere. You can even work the touchscreen through the plastic cover. It's got internal velcro tabs to help organize wires and it's silver inside which really makes it easier to find things (as opposed to a dark black etc). It's not cheap but I'm very very happy with mine... I've had a Buell std tank bag which was a nice one but this is just a whole lot better imho. superdave http://www.amazon.com/Firstgear-Laguna-GPS-Tank-Ba ckpack/dp/B002KPJ25C |

Aside from it being magnetic, the Rapid Transit Recon (http://www.rapid-transit.com/rt/products.cfm?produ cts_id=639) is an awesome tank bag/backpack. It works great with gps or Smartphone’s and I love the built in rain cover which deploys in seconds .Going with the “glue some magnets inside the air box theory” that might be the way to go. I used this bag on a few other bikes, Night rod and GSXR and it’s an all time favorite of mine. I even use it on vacations without the bikes. I have tried many others. Love this product. I’m going to try gluing some magnets in there and see how that works. Any advice on that procedure? BTW -The phone pouch will hold an I phone, but not the Droid Evo or Droid X. But you can stick any phone in the internal waterproof map pocket and still see Google nav or whatever you like. |

What would a magnet stick to on a plastic airbox? Am I missing something? |

I picked up a Held bag made for the BMW F series I believe. It fits perfectly with straps. I'm guessing that it is an old model since I paid all of EUR 10 (USD 12) for it... |
