if you install an EBK racing ecu on your bike but then take it in for unrelated warranty issue and reinstall the old ecu will the dealership be able to access this memory from a scan tool or something? |

They may be able to depending on what the issue you bought it in for. It can hamper the diagnostic process if there is no trouble code stored on the stock ECM but there is on your Race ECM. If you leave the Erik Buell Racing ECM on, the biggest giveaway is the lack of the "COLD" display when the bike is cold. My dealer didn't care when I got my stator replaced under warranty. |

They might if you blow the engine up. |

it would be tough to blow one of the engines up and it wouldn't be caused by the ecm either.... |

though when they do the stator harness they do an upgrade to the stock ecm it would be bad to have them flash the ebr ecm by mistake,MOST dealers would not care, though some would.... depends on the dealer.. |

My understanding is they can only flash the ECM if the diagnostic tool tells them to flash it. They can't just flash it for the hell of it. |

I think most techs are not really interested in ratting you out to the warranty police, except like Keef says - if voiding the warranty will save HD money. The dealer gets reimbursed for warranty work as I understand it, so there's no incentive for the dealer to void the warranty cuz they get paid either way. |
