Anyone notice this ? At a standstill , If you "blip" or roll on the throttle , both at the start of the increase in RPM's , and again on return to idle , a clunking ? There was probably always some there , but seems very noticeable now . I'm used to the sewing machine sound , but never noticed this particular sound before . If I had to guess or describe its sound , I would say it sounds like the counter balance swinging back n forth , but stopping abruptly ... ? She still seems to be running good , I've thought a couple times I detected an engine vibration , but never seems to be around long enough to pick up on it , its an 08 with K&N HPE and E B R ECM and 20k miles . It's probably nothing , but fire away !!! |

This may seem out of place by I had been experiencing strange noises just before my rear wheel bearing went. I thought it was engine related too since the loud exhaust made it difficult to pin down. Food for thought. (Message edited by andella on July 07, 2010) |

Someone else was complaining about a strange noise, the stator nut had backed off. Here is the link: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/577226.html?1278521130 |
