Bad news ....
I just installed the "DONE" Race ECM ....
It now acts just like my STOCK ECM. Flashes COOLANT COLD at startup and has full engine braking enabled. This is nothing like the original RACE ECM they sent me ...
Something is not right .... I have already email the tech support guys at Ebuell Racing ...
It did have the RACE ONLY sticker on it.

Dmhines, I hate to say this, but I have been waiting to see how your ECM works before I send mine back. It sounds like they put some of the stock characteristics back in. I hated the coolant cold flashing and the engine braking as well. Sorry to hear this has happened to you. Good luck and keep us updated. |

I haven't heard back from tech yet. Looks like they don't have a phone # to call them.
I rode the bike to work this morning. I also notice the Battery voltage doesn't drop as much as the original RACE ECM did so I am also wondering if it has the code for the STATOR HARNESS RECALL installed. |

Did the surge go away? how does it run?
Mine surged with the stock ECM. |

Yes ... the surge is gone in the mid-range. But there is no surge in the mid-range on my stock ECM either. To me it feels identical to my stock ECM. I'll post back when Tech replies. |
