Holly mother, this thing sounds Nice & Loud. Thumpy sound @ idle and very unique sound once you open up the throttle. Over All I am happy buddy that helped me with the install quick video on a Canon S90 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbzAsrFQhzU |

forgot to add this one.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6b42kjAr-M The camera does no justice to this exhaust IMO. And its a good thing that I wear earplugs all the time while I ride. haha Can't wait for the Solo Buell Chin Spoiler to complete the Look (Message edited by puredrive on June 23, 2010) |

Thanks for sharing. Looks great and from what you can hear on the video, sounds unique indeed. One of the things I heard about these types of exhaust exits were that if you had an unfortunate drop on the right side the exhaust would cause extensive damage to your swingarm where the tips bend into it under the weight of the bike. I think that previous story was with a Remus pipe that had much more canister sticking out next to the swingarm. Take some better sound later if you can with a WOT fly-by, I would really love to hear that. A few last questions, where did you buy it and how much? Are you running stock ECM and how is the fueling? here is a swing arm view..and I can see that happening. Canon S90 is a rather tiny camera...I'm very surprised that the sound was not distorted by the Exhaust. I say it sounds much louder in person. I'll try to post another video and show case some WOT runs. If not with me camera, it will be with a Olympus camera that records in HD. Not sure how the sound quality compares but its bound to be better then my S90. Forgot to add that I am 100% stock. (Message edited by puredrive on June 23, 2010) |

Has anyone installed one of these with the DB killers? I'd like to get a HPE, but I do have some noise limitations. My limit was my '99M2 with a V&H pipe. Nice pipe, sounded great, not too loud. |

He has the DB killers installed , as do I , it is quiet loud IMO . The DB killers really arent much , the smaller bottom DBK is about 3-4" long and steps down in size maybe in 3 steps , the upper DBK is prob 2" long and has a small flare on the inside , both are non perforated . |

I've said it before, I love the HPE. I would probably jump on it if it were the same price range as a Drummer, rather than a full race system. Be sure to post pics with the chin fairing! |
