p 1503 fault code (s stand sys err) any advice what this fault may actually be ? I realise it means sidestand system error but does anyone know if the code relates to a reason for the fault ie shorted wire etc ? I will book at dealer, but any clues to help them appreciated. | ||

The side stand switch probably is bad most likely. | ||

Yes, I though I had read about faulty switches? I believe the switch is a "hall effect" type ? I will see if I can get my dealer to order a new one in ready to fit. | ||

It is indeed a hall effect one... Have a quick check to see if the nut's still attached to the sidestand as it uses that to sense the stand being up.. | ||

Yes the nut is there, the light came on after I had just started the engine with the side stand down.I will have a closer look in the morning in case there is a plug loose ? |
