I prefer to keep mine off until it gets dark. Some people like it bright during the day and dim at night. I'm kinda the opposite. BRT Level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 I think are your options with 1 being no backlight and 6 being the brightest. I might be wrong there may be BRT Level 0 which is no back light.
