My dealer re-flashed my Cr midweek but I only just today went for a long decent ride. To me it feels like I'm not going as fast as the speedo indicates. With the R & Cr having different gearing would there be 2 different flashes, one for each bike? Could this be the problem? |

There are two different flashes, with the difference being the gearing. It is highly unlikely you got the wrong flash, but to check get to 60MPH (96.5KPH), it should be a hair over 4000 RPM in 6th gear. Gear ratio calculator: http://www.froggypwns.com/Buell%20Gearing.xlsx It is in MPH, but can be tweaked to show KPH or you can have Google do the converting. |

I don't think Digital Tech will *let* you put a CR flash in an R, or vice versa. The VIN loads into the computer, lets it know what model bike it is...and will only allow the correct flash to go in. "not feeling as fast" as the speedo says...well, that sounds to me like the flash is working. Smooth, non-peaky power; non-invasive speed; "I was going HOW FAST officer?" - all impressions that are normal with the newest, most hiccup-resistant flashes |
