Have the bike set to my weight, which with gear Full backpack, etc.) put it to the max settings with dampening backed down 1 click in the rear. I'd like to make handling response faster/quicker. Any suggestions? EZ |

Put the motor, front end and rear suspension on one of your Blasts |

Full air pressure in tires and stiffen the rear pre load and soften the front pre load. It will turn in very fast. |

set your static sag first for your weight so the suspension geometry is right. If you want quicker turn in you can raise the forks in the triples a couple mm, or dial in an extra click of pre load on the rear. Careful, you will sacrifice stability. How to set sag (Message edited by Hack_Job on June 03, 2010) |

All settings are set to book except rear dampening is a click less than recommended bi book. Sag set. Will check the others conservatively. Thanks. EZ |

Do you have the accessory higher bars or the stock bars? The higher/wider bars will give you more leverage and give the "feeling" of turning quicker while keeping your suspension within specs. Also, on my 1125R I tried to raise the forks in the triple clamps to speed up the steering but there appears to be a taper and/or stop that prevents the forks from being raised more than about 2mm. Probably a good idea since the 21-degree rake is quite steep already with relatively short trail! Jeff |

I enjoy the clubmans, have the same geometry as my adjustable bars - I'm not uncomfortable at all with the position, I just wish the bike transitioned quicker with a bit less work - sue me - I'm a goat trail fanatic. EZ |

Sounds like losing 50 lbs would make a big difference. In all seriousness, you could add a couple lbs of pressure to the tires. |

Carbonbigfoot, PP 2CTs are a big incentive for putting as many miles on my R as quickly as possible, so I can wear out the stock tires. I've got them on my Daytona 675 and had a set on my SV1000S and they definitely lighten up the steering a LOT. |
